Fabián Sborovsky

Nowadays we also have Fabian Sborovsky as a rabbinic student resident at our community. Fabián visits us every month, when he carries out and coordinates liturgical and educational activities.

Fabián was born in Asunción, Paraguay, in 1968, and he has lived in Israel, United States, Sweden and Germany. He has a degree in History and Political Science by the Belmont University, Nashville. Fabián graduated in Jewish Studies by the Vanderbilt University, Nashville. Currently, he is concluding his rabbinic studies at the Abraham Geiger Kolleg Rabbinical School in Berlin and he is a Ph.D. student in Potsdam University, Germany. Fabián has conducted some student pulpits in Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and Spain.

Fabián has actively participated in the Jewish communities of the United States and Sweden, committing himself in a variety of communitarian programs, and working as Jewish teacher with children and adults. In Stockholm, Fabián has also worked at Paideia, the Jewish Studies Institute in Sweden, where he has been involved, together with social activists and entrepreneurs of various Jewish communities from all around Europe, in providing projects to promote contemporary Jewish life in Europe.
